Completing Your Copart Registration: Uploading Identification and Licenses

Posted by

Registering for membership with Copart is fast, easy and free. In just a few clicks, you can join Copart, the first step in bidding and winning salvage and clean title vehicle in auction.

But submitting the Copart registration form doesn’t actually complete your registration. There’s another step: uploading government-issued identification (like a driver’s license or passport) and any business licenses you have.

Uploading your ID and business licenses (if applicable) from your computer or mobile device onto your Copart account is quite simple. Just visit your Account Information page, choose the Licenses tab from the menu, and click the “Upload License or ID” button. At that point, the following box will appear on your screen:

As you can see, you can save your ID or license in a variety of file formats, including .pdf, .jpg and .png, which are the most common. File sizes of up to 3MB are accepted.

Once you’ve uploaded your ID or license, it will take three to five business days to process. Therefore, plan ahead and submit these files early if you want to bid on a vehicle that’s going to auction soon!
