Released in 1953, this Mercedes was nicknamed “Ponton” because of the vehicle’s rounded shape. The 180 was considered a step up from the 170S model, designed to be much quieter, lighter and stronger.

Fun fact: The Mercedes-Benz 180A was popularly used as a taxi in Germany in the ’50s.
