Originally planned for the 1999 24 Hours of Le Mans, this 612 horsepower, 5.7 liter V10 engine with the ability to scream all the way to 8,400 RPM, found itself in a road car called the Porsche Carrera GT. Shown in 2000 at the Paris Motor Show, the Porsche Carrera GT prototype was meant to draw attention to Porsche’s display. However, after a surprising amount of interest and extra cash from the new Porsche Cayenne SUV, Porsche decided to go ahead and build the Carrera GT. With production starting in 2004 and ending in 2006, more than 1,270 Carrera GTs had been sold. Only offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, the Carrera GT was named one of the top sports cars of all time. One of only 91 Carrera GTs produced in the rare Fayence Yellow, this 2005 Porsche Carrera GT will surely turn heads.
