The winners for the Fourth Annual Copart Rebuild Challenge have been chosen. Rebuilders and enthusiasts from all over the nation had the opportunity to submit before-and-after photos of their rebuilds and customization projects.
After hundreds of entries came in, Copart’s team of expert judges determined the top 12 finalists, then a public vote decided the winners. Thousands of people picked their favorites, and these are the results:
First Place – Shaun Lynn
Say hello to the DADWAGON. I bought this Subaru Outback from Copart, rebuilt it, and I have now owned it for one year. My goal was to build the ultimate adventure vehicle, and I think I can say I have achieved that. I’ve had it for a little over a year. I’ve driven it over 20 thousand miles through eight states for multiple adventures with the family!
Second Place – Connor Lovell
This 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Special Edition was a father and son rebuild. In six months we both worked day and night to repair almost every part and panel on this Jeep ourselves. It originally didn’t run or drive and now is a daily driver!
Third Place – Walter Carman
This car is a 2006 Chevy Duramax Express Van and 1957 Chevy 210 Townsman blended together to make a Stock but tuned Diesel Duramax. 600HP, 1250lb torque, 4L85E Trans, Moser Rear End, Custom interior, 30 MPG, Air ride, Twin 4″ Chrome Pipes, all sitting in ’96 Chevy Caprice frame. I didn’t cut anything in the ’57 and still made it all fit in it. It’s a Total Custom Rebuild that is awesome to drive.
We’d like to thank all who entered and made this the best Rebuild Challenge yet.
