Rule the Road With One of These American General Humvees

On Friday, September 15th, 2017, through Copart’s San Diego location, two American General Humvees will be sold via Copart live vehicle auction.

The American General High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), better known as the Humvee, is a light truck used primarily by the United States military. Used since 1984 as the replacement of the Jeep, the Humvee has been used to transport small amounts of soldiers and light cargo. The Humvee’s first sight of combat was during Operation Just Cause, the U.S. invasion of Panama in 1989. In more recent years, the Department of Defense came under criticism for not providing better armored Humvees. In response, the Department of Defense began outfitting Humvees with armor plating, but it did not offer protection from below. The Humvee will soon be phased out of production and replaced by the Oshkosh Corporation’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV). These Humvees are available for bid now in Copart auctions:
